Restore your Balance through Traditional Chinese Medicine

What is acupuncture and why use it?
Acupuncture is a centuries-old medicine that involves improving the flow of energy and blood to alleviating pain and discomfort as well as restoring the body’s function and natural healing abilities. Acupuncture is helpful in treating much more than pain and discomfort. Helping the body help itself improves problems with infertility, cough/cold and flu season, GI issues and all aspects of mental health.
Dr. Antoine believes that combining traditional acupuncture therapy with new, cutting-edge treatments is what it takes to have the best results for patients. Call Acupuncture Wellness now to see if you are a good candidate for treatment and how we can help.

Microneedling is a procedure that involves pricking the skin with tiny needles, which induce the production of collagen and elastin keeping your skin healthier and looking younger. Serums used after microneedling are able to penetrate the skin’s surface up to more than 100 times that without!

Facial Acupuncture:

Facial acupuncture, sometimes called cosmetic acupuncture or facial rejuvenation, is popular because of its effective anti-aging benefits. Needle placement is focused in areas of the face in order to stimulate collagen production, improve skin quality, heal acne and improve scarring. Typically a facial acupuncture treatment will use several small needles in the face, which are then left in for about 20 to 25 minutes.

Chinese herbal formulas are composed of ingredients designed to function in combination with each other to assist in symptom improvement.  Herbal formulas can be thought of as the “powerhouse” behind the treatment.  Each herb has a particular function within the formula to help achieve better health and wellness.  While many issues can be resolved with acupuncture alone, in some situations the addition of an herbal formula can help speed up recovery or bust through the tougher problems.

Electro-Acupuncture (E-Stim):

Electroacupuncture is a form of acupuncture where a small electric current is passed between pairs of acupuncture needles. According to some acupuncturists, this practice augments the use of regular acupuncture, can restore health and well-being, and is particularly good for treating pain.

Moxibustion is a form of heat therapy in which dried plant materials called “moxa” are burned on or very near the surface of the skin. The intention is to warm and invigorate the flow of Qi in the body and dispel certain pathogenic influences. Moxa is usually made from the dried leafy material of Chinese mugwort (Artemesia argyi or A.vlugaris), but it can be made of other substances as well.
